Over 30 people held a vigil in Lancaster’s Market Square on the evening of Saturday 12th December. Nearly 100 passers-by added their candles to send thoughts and hopes for a Real Deal on climate action in Copenhagen.
Green Party Parliamentary candidate for Lancaster and Fleetwood, Gina Dowding, and Lancashire County councillor Chris Coates joined the event. They stood in solidarity with the people of the world, particularly in those countries already experiencing the worst effects of climate change. The vigil was organised by Transition City Lancaster.
