36900 and counting…..

To date 36,900 people from all over the world have joined Greenpeace’s AIRPLOT campaign to stop the expansion of Heathrow Airport by becoming beneficial owners of a plot of land in the middle of the new proposed runway. Greenpeace aim to get to a total of 100,000 ‘owners – and have set up a new website at www.airplot.org.uk for those wanting to join the campaign.

Last weekend  an open day was held at the field for the Heathrow locals who will be affected by the planned expansion. Greenpeace hired a skittles alley, had face painting, a polar bear playing football, and plenty of tea and cake. The Greenpeace crew got roundly beaten at skittles by the villagers.

In January Lancasters Green Councillors all joined the Airplot campaign.
