This week saw the demolition of a house on the corner of Torrisholme and Oxford Roads in Skerton to make way for a larger BP garage. Planning permission was granted some time ago.
Skerton Green Party member Ian Chamberlain said ” Local people are concerned about the new layout of the road at this busy corner. This is something that the planners don’t seem to have thought about.”
Demolition and construction work is expected to take a month.
