Fleetwood Town Council

nalc.jpgFollowing a meeting last week of the Action For Fleetwood Group, which was attended by leading representatives of the National Association of Local Councils, residents are to be consulted over the possibility of a Fleetwood town council being set up.
If there is seen to be enough support, the council may get the go ahead.
Tom Norton, chairman of the Action For Fleetwood Group, said: “We hope that discussions with Wyre Council can take place in the next two weeks and the collection of supporting signatures to start the ball rolling should start in about three weeks.”
The next Action For Fleetwood Group public meeting is on July 29 at 7pm in the Senior Citizen’s Hall on Warrenhurst Road. Also up for discussion will be smells, CCTV and the Fleetwood Masterplan.
