Councillors Cycle to Work
There was a full cycle rack outside Morecambe town hall this week as councillors took part in national cycle to work day. At the invitation of the Green group a number of councillors from other parties joined the Greens in backing the districts cycle demonstration town team’s call for people to get on thier bikes and cycle to work.
Councillors cycled to the full council meeting of the City Council from different parts of the district. Green councillors, who regularly cycle the greenway route to meetings in Morecambe gathered on the millenium bridge in Lancaster and cycled en-masse to the meeting despite the bad weather.
