Gravestones Vandalised
Around ten memorial gravestones were damaged at Skerton Cemetery last week. Police, who are appealing for witnesses, say the stones in the cemetery off Halton Road, Lancaster, were pushed over, causing hundreds of pounds of damage.
Three stone angel figurines were also smashed up during the incident which occurred some time on the night of Monday May 12 or in the early hours of Tuesday May 13. Anyone with information should contact police on 01524 63333 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111
