Celebrate the Easter Maritime Festival
For the second year running, the focus of Lancaster District’s Maritime Festival will be the historic port of Glasson Dock, on the Lune estuary where a branch of the Lancaster Canal also meets the sea. This year the Village Hall will be the main concert venue. There will also be entertainments and activities on the open green areas adjacent to the canal marina and sea dock. The village’s Dalton Arms pub and the Stork Inn, at nearby Conder Green, have also signed up as shanty and sea song venues. On Sunday, Lancaster Maritime Museum will also host an afternoon of sea songs and shanties.
