Save Hornby High School

hornby1.jpgTeachers, parents and pupils from Hornby High School were out in force in Lancaster Market Square over half term getting support for their campaign to stop the proposed closure of the School by Lancashire County Council. The school are fighting to “protect the future of education in the Lune Valley and the right of parents to choose a small, rural High School”.

After a fact finding visit to the school, Green County Cllr Chris Coates said “ This is a great human scale school, just the sort of place we should be promoting not closing. Big is not better when it comes to schools – big is only cheaper.”

The school have composed a protest song to publicise their cause and are urging supporters to fill in the County Council’s online consultation form.
