NHS Dental Care
In the light of recent headlines about access to dental services and people resorting to pulling out their own teeth, we would like to highlight recent steps taken by the local Primary Care Trust (PCT).
The PCT has set up a dental helpline for patients wishing to access an NHS dentist. Callers are asked to leave their details, which will be entered on to a database in date order and passed to dentists on request. The patient is then contacted when an NHS dentist becomes available. This system will also assist the PCT in assessing patient demand for dental services. The number to call is 01253 306378.
For emergency dental treatment call 01539 716822.
