M6 Link Road - Public Inquiry

road.jpg Green Cllr John Whitelegg will be wearing his traffic consultants hat when he appears as an expert witness at the public inquiry into the proposed Heysham M6 Link road. John has been called to speak by groups opposing the road at the inquiry.He is the Managing Director of Eco-Logica Ltd, a transport consultancy based in Lancaster and has appeared as expert witness at many public inquirys.

John, who will be presenting detailed evidence on both air pollution and climate change said ” The proposal to build this road is contrary to established and emerging policy in the areas of sustainable development and climate change. It is contrary to regional planning and climate change policies and is the most damaging road currently being proposed anywhere in the country.”
