Jon Barry has served as a Councillor in Castle Ward for the last eight years. He is a trustee of the Marsh Community Centre and has been responsible for much of the fundraising that has made the centre possible. He is also a trustee of the Fairfield Orchard. He has previously been a Governor at Willow Nursery and Dallas Road School and a committee member of the Fairfield Allotments Association. When they let him, he opens the batting at Torrisholme cricket club.
Catriona Stamp is a local artist – she has recently worked with the RSPB, running arts workshops in schools about the ecology of Morecambe Bay. She is a keen organic gardener, and is involved in several voluntary organisations including Seed Savers (which organises Apple Day and Potato Day, amongst other things), and the National Coalition Building Institute. Catriona organises Holocaust Memorial Day events in January each year.Catriona has served as a Green Councillor in Scotforth West for the last 4 years and is moving to Castle Ward where she lives.
Chris Coates has served as City Councillor for Castle Ward and is County Councillor for Lancaster Central Division, which covers Castle Ward, Scotforth West and parts of the rural area to the south of Lancaster. Chris is a time-served carpenter who now works as a freelance project manager on community based construction projects. The last major project he worked on was an extension for the offices of the Ecology Building Society. He lives on Coverdale Road. He is Chair of the Marsh Community Centre Trustees, a Trustee of the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) – Lancaster and a director of the Walter Segal Self Build Trust.
