Green Space
Lancaster District has the lowest provision of urban open space (per 1000 people) in Lancashire. More green spaces are needed to provide opportunities for relaxing, playing and exercise.
We propose a new urban park connecting the public square with the green corridor along the canal. This would preserve the views across town to the Castle & Priory and help provide a buffer between the city centre and the surrounding residential areas.
